  Taiwan!!!!!!!ZOMG青蛙下蛋!!!!!!!

Taipei is awesome

And dang its cheap.

A return air ticket from jetstar cost us SGD460++, Quality is top-notched compared to rest of the budget airlines. The flight took us 6hours

Right, touchdown at 桃园 airport and away we went, whisked onto one of the many private shuttle coaches leading into 台北. The coach cost us like less then S$10 (which is NT$220) each. Trip wasn't too bad, seats were comfy. We had to transit once onto a commercial bus once we were near city center.

not our ride into taipei. you gotta love american cars on
asian roads.

Checked into Rainbow hotel, abit homo of a name, but convenient and cheap. Best of all, it's smacked right in the center of 西门町.

西门町, Like no where else in singapore.

our first meal in Taipei.

Some curry rice. taste normal. cheap nontheless

Then it was time to hit the sack for the next day.

Taipei Metro, buying their travel cards.

Singapore's temples are nth compared to Taipei's.

Taipei LongShan temple...

...with our beautiful host.

Wufenpu for the ladies.

random poster in wufenpu

And GuangHua for the guys. The IT products are not substantially cheaper la, just that you have the entire neighborhood all peddling IT products.

Then its back to Wufenpu to pick up the ladies.

Raohe night market, pretty near wufenpu

queuing for the 胡椒饼.

finally! they taste fantastic!

tried my hands on some fish games. caught nth. bla.

Well we figured we had time and space left in our stomach, so to Shilin night market

Shilin night market, this is THE place to go for all your foodies needs

lynn with the super big 豪大大 chicken chop.

Taipei's variation of Or Jian. tasty!

milk tea

mango and strawberry ice, they actually add milk in the ice shavings.
Truly awesome

Food in Taiwan is beyond excellent, no doubt Singapore has a fair share of local delights, but seriously, Taiwan food are more.. flavorful and most importantlty, cheap! These pictures don't really do them food justice methinks.

The Shilin shoppin district.

That concludes the 2nd day of Taipei. onwards!

Third Day

To 北投 for hotspring, the ladies wasn't too keen to try the public baths so we ended up in a hotspring resort. The rooms were fantastic! plushy beds and a see through washroom, perfect for couples, definitely not for 3 burly guys.

metro station

the bath

The spring water was HOT! ass burning, balls melting hot! us noobs actually had to let the water lie to cool before sinking our butts in. I felt abit light headed after the bath, guess its the temperature at work.

Right, so after the refreshing and foot-rot killing hotspring, its time to head to 淡水, Taipei's excuse for a beach, haha! Taipei's definitely not for the typical beach going type i reckon.

情人桥 at 渔人码头. looks awfully like OCS bridge.

=D

Next up, 淡水老街. Must-try the following.

the super long ice cream cone. this is actually the small 1,
not too much an ice cream guy myself

me queuing for the ice cream

阿给 and hungry AK

阿婆铁蛋. legendary shit

Onwards to Miramar, where the big ferris wheel is, didn't expect it to be that big really. Superb view over Taipei once you're in the cabin, pity though, our cabin was fogged up quite badly.

miramar.

the ferris wheel

yap, lynn and AK before the ferris wheel

view from the cabin

keroro gunso!

STAY TUNED FOR MORE UPDATES!!!
