Ima Taurus warrior!
Hey folks, betcha missed me havent you? if you havent, shame on you and you ought to die lonely. well anyways, if you haven't realised it yet, im officially known as Recruit LY Teu from BMTC2 Taurus Platoon 3 Section 2 bed 9, 3209 for short.
Life in Tekong aint half bad i think, at least for now. everything's still within my capabilities i guess. coming to what makes tekong fun, my bunkmates! haha boy do i have to talk about them. they're a real fun bunch i tell you, pity though we havent really got the time we want to really go out and know each other.
Theres this fella, Jack, our Platoon's timer man. one of the best natural comedians i've ever seen i tell you, only he dares to swing the broomstick like a clown when there are 2 sergeants doing stand by bed. He can be damn serious when he has to, best of both worlds i guess.
Then there's wayne, my buddy buddy, who's like damn steady lah can? everything also "ok lah set 1" uber buddy i tell you. haha! thank goodness both of us are new to regimental life, so we spend most of our time covering each other's buttocks, or smacking them with towels. on that topic, i realised i have the perkiest butt in the entire section, or maybe the entire platoon. so perky i get abrasion on my tailbone doing situps. meh!
Anyways, marcus got posted to OCS, and i'd be frank, i'd love to do that too. i've got a long way to go but im pretty sure i've got the correct crowd around me to just do that. =)
They say that in the army, you learn to treasure those little meager things you took for granted as a civilian, simple things like walking on your own down the street becomes a privilege only extended to non recruits in army camps, news and information saturate the streets everywhere but in the army camp we get newspaper a day old.
Simple fare our mothers prepare becomes a sumptous treats that can equal the best of chefs when you're in the army. or rather, when you taste army food. No, don't get me wrong, the food they serve over there are entirely edible and probably delicious. but it doesnt emits that same feeling you get when you dine with your loved ones around the dining table. Thats something we all took for granted.
I came home today, and i chatted with my mum the entire day, the entire entire day, i realised i've got so much to tell her. yet another privilege we all took for granted, communicating. we've only got enough communication as long as the batteries on our mobile lasts in camps.
Time, i'd cut things short and just shoot you an example. i ever visited the washroom, shitted, polished my boots, call home all in a single time frame. i took 45minutes to bath when i was a civilian.
meh, i miss all ma friends, and i must complain! i havent been receiving any smses from you buggers. so c'mon msg poor ol alvin and make his day k?
