the long overdue post, and a happy lunar new year
Hey, sorry folks for the lack of updates, i've been very sick for this whole period, so much so that my colleagues thought i was down with dengue. Haha! nontheless, im very well now, minus the flu and the drowsiness caused by the drug. Alas, i haven't been this sick for quite awhile have i? Not that i miss it or what, it was so agonising i wish i was dead loh.
Nontheless, in case you folks haven't heard, im already a full-flegded driver *HURRAY!!* got my license on the 26th of janurary. But nontheless, i didn't really felt as elated as i thought i would lah, when the tester told me "congrats, you passed your test" i was like... er... ok loh.. thanks. Haha! don't sound like me does it? perhaps caused i was too sick to be bothered lah.
I took the test while running a rather high fever, was so pale the instructor thought i was seriously ill when i asked for a short water break. but ok la uh, given the prior lesson, managed to identify some of my deadliest mistakes and avoid them on the test itself.
so.. PASSED! 14 Points on 2x abrupt lane change, 1x failure to check mirror and a few points here and there. hehe.
And incidently, today is my first time really driving, drove to cindy's place to pick up our guest for the week, Xiao ke the hammy~! got lost at the carpark though.. meh~ then drove to bedok, then bedok and back home. foo wee, driving isnt exactly relaxing leh i realised. =
Bon voyage Cindy, Jessica, Uncle peter and aunty Chong! Jessica you would be dearly missed by your peers and most importantly, me. so stay in contact aye? and while you're there, intro me some cute angmoh chicks yo? =D~
Went to catch a movie with Hao and SP yesterday, I not stupid 2, 5 out of 5, please go watch.
Oh and another great news before i forgot! Stedtson is officially a daddy of Clavius-something Koh, healthy boy who looks like stedt's dad. haha 3.25kg, not bad wor. congratulations stedt! can't wait till tml when we can see him, hiak hiak hiak.

haircut and shopping!
Was out with the usual gang. Amy, Hao and his darling Sp, made reservations for 4 at chapter 2 the day before, apparently the lady who answered the phone is not english speaking. Extracts from our conversation:
Alvin: "Hi! Good evening, i would like to make a reservation for 4 on the 17th at 7pm"
Aunty: "Har?"
Alvin: "errr.. i would like to make a reservation for 4 at 7pm tml"
Aunty "har? ke yi jiang hua yu ma?"
alamak. who would have thought? i assumed that Chapter 2 was some high class ang moh speaking salon. nvm, chinese speaking better, more qin qie ya know?
Alright, on to the haircut, sheez it was one of the longest i ever had man, waited like half an hour before the stylist attended to me. This reall quiet chap. possibly malaysian. that guy took like an hour to cut my hair, longer then it had taken for others definitely. But boy, am i satisfied with my hairstyle now, the stylist sort of can tell im having hair loss, so he suggested me to stop using wax and start using clay, and start styling them on the ends on the hair only, not from the roots. =D, professionals sia.. grabbed a can of gatsby clay at watsons after the haircut. looking for other healthier choices now. hoho! gd bye hair loss!
Went shopping at BV with the gang later on, the new 2nd level is so sexist, all female apparels and accessories. tsk, what's this? part of the plot to eradicate guy shoppers? Walked around on the lower level with hao, all the tops seem so yucky, nothing eye catching at all. ended up with a new sling bag.
Had dinner at BK, went home zz

Generic updates
Dang... just woke up only no thanks to Mr Zacf. Was out with Amy, Hao and my younger sister SP at town. Was slated to meet up at 4.30pm but alas, being a MIT senior that i am, i need to proof to the kids the importance of being late. Im so sorry amy, blame that Porsche Carrera who kissed the bus stop.
We walked.... i mean... we squeezed our way to bugis village wanting to get our haircut, i just don bloody get singaporeans. Does prodding alvin with your paper bag makes the crowd in front walk faster? apparently not.
DANG! chapter 2 was fully booked. DANG! ok fine, i recommended them di`summer, the place i get my haircut since.. er... like almost 2 yrs back? ok fine, made our way to somerset as suggested by hao so we can shop whilst we make our way to FEP. cool weather i must say, wish everyday's weather was like that. Shopped at Heeren for hao's board shorts, nothing of interest there except showing SP some $220 bikinis and discovering some new male underwear that props up your member, both at newurbanmale.
Headed to FEP, DAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG! it was CLOSED. WTF WTF WTF?! are all the people in singapore cutting their hair or what? so there you go, 3 hours of mind-numbling squeezing and prodding and no haircut. but wait, thats barely the best part yet.
So being the sulking teenagers we are, we.. i mean ah hao.. decided to shop while starving the older bunch of the group. heck, he got his boardshorts at 89. i saw the top im going to get for CNY. so i guess its fair lah.
Headed to Fish n Co at wheelock's. DANG x2 45 minutes waiting time. Amy and I cant take it anymore already, so we walked to Shaw's Mac to grab something to eat 1st while the couple queue at fish n co. Anyways, i know i look fierce when i don't smile. i was asking the waitress how long's the waiting time and she said 30minutes, and i was like.. er... ok... then she started explaining why we have to wait and apologising profusely. OI! chill out! im understand! piff...
So finally we got our seats, The kids ordered Fish n Chips and Grilled salmon while uncle alvin settled on platter for one. SP's salmon looked a tad bit like lao sai. muahaha! finally, cocked a little and headed to zacf's pub at tanglin and that bugger got us a jug of tiger. and he kept on refiling my cup! die liao loh, everyone's gonna say im jiu gui uncle again liao. no thanks to you zacf! =D ¶ 1:41 PM 2 Comments

Amy's sweet 18 and Terence's sweeter 20
Phew, finally managed to get my lazy ass off my bed to type all these out, was a rather interesting week for me i would say, most of it was spent planning out amy's birthday suprise and we went shopping for her present on friday. So Zacf, Hao, Shu ping, Wan Ting and I shopped around FEP for some really sexy Nightgown for her. Here's the part, why do you aunties and xmm have to stare at poor alvin who said "excuse me" in a lingerie shop? look, its perfectly ok for a guy to enter a lingerie shop ok? as long as he isnt smelling the items and giving that "u must be kidding" look when u pick up a bra too big your size.

Came friday, I was seriously ill so i sorta declared my own MC to skip work. Perks of working under no cheng-hu i guess. Met up with ah hao to make our way to Pasir ris, and to our dismay, the MIT folks are on time for once and we both are the goondus who were late. sorry girs/guys/mummy. Hao and I went to get the drinks at loyang point while the others made their way to suprise amy at their chalet.
Found our way to the chalet after almost dropping the carton of coke on my feet a few times, i wonder what's NTUC smoking, why the heck would you put so slippery tiles on your outdoor walkway, u heng alvin is still young (*cough*) and agile (*wheez*) so he didn't fall down.
The chalet was on the 2nd floor and much bigger then your typical hotel room, well so far so good, there's even a xbox for pete's sake! whats this? xbox here, xbox there. heck, the next time i go there it might be called XBOX holiday chalet instead. Talk about world domination..
Attendance was neat, there were a few friends of amy and... yeah a few looked cute. muahaha! Had a potluck outside the chalet, and those buggers complained that my house don have soy sauce cus my bee hoon was too bland. NB! this is called healthy living ok? u unappreciative bastards!

the hippopotamuses

before this we were laughin at why people are asking the reason why we're all hippopotamuses. there were a few that even asked whether Hippopotamus was a new club. eventually, i decided to pull a really lame prank on amy..

Happy 2k6!
Bidding you a _|_ farewell 2k5, u've been a great bitch and all, but move over, the new chick's on the block's here to stay! hola 2k6!
Countdown with the MIT folks at esplanade, apparently they closed down the whole bridge for peds, pretty good move by the cops i say, its so much better then the previous years when the whole esplanade became like MOS at its opening.
Met that cb zacf along the way to lau pa sat, got engaged in a foam spray/ bannana hooting war along the road. stupid kids!
Was walking across fullerton's carpark when i saw this BMW M5, NO FUCKIN SHIT! a true blue M5! woo, couldnt resist but to give the driver a thumbs up. he reciprocated too, haha! what a ride man...
but then again we walked faster then he can drive. thats nye traffic to u. lol
Had supper, talked a little, had booze in the market like old uncles, nooblars got drunk and things got sour.. kids..
headed to boat quay, those buggers were too young to go anywhere, ended up getting booze at 7-11 and camped in the undergrd passage and wasted our youths away. got stuck in the tunnel in the rain with SPSU ppl, of all 3million ppl out there. hahaha. headed for breakfast at mac and went home. reached home around 8.30am and i woke up only now. =\ i smell like beer,foam and tobacco.
